Gov Okpebholo Celebrates Senator Oshiomhole’s Honorary Doctorate Award

Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has congratulated Comrade Senator Adams Oshiomhole on receiving an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Political Science from Edo University, Iyamho. 

In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Fred Itua, Governor Okpebholo described the award as a fitting recognition of Senator Oshiomhole’s enduring contributions to Edo State and Nigeria as a whole. 

"This distinguished honour is a testament to Senator Oshiomhole’s unwavering commitment to public service, leadership, and the betterment of Edo State," the Governor stated. "His dedication to governance, advocacy for the people, and relentless efforts to drive progress have rightly earned him this academic commendation." 

Governor Okpebholo further praised Edo University for acknowledging the Senator’s remarkable impact, stating that the award highlights the importance of service to humanity and the value of transformative leadership. 

"As we celebrate this milestone, we encourage Senator Oshiomhole to continue his work for the advancement of our state and nation," he added. 

The conferment ceremony at Edo University was attended by dignitaries, academics, and well-wishers who lauded Senator Oshiomhole’s legacy in political leadership and governance.
