Woman arrested for cutting her husband's manhood

 The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a 28-year-old woman, Ogunlana Yemisi, for allegedly attacking her husband, Idowu Adebowale, 31, during a domestic dispute.

According to the police, Yemisi is accused of using a sharp object to injure her husband's genitals.

The command’s spokesperson, SP Omolola Odutola, confirmed the arrest in a press statement released on Monday, October 21, 2024.

Adebowale reported the incident to the police, stating that his wife assaulted him at around 4:30 a.m. on October 15, following what he described as a minor disagreement.

Adebowale presented the authorities with evidence of a deep cut on his genitals, which he claimed was inflicted by his wife during the altercation. "Upon receiving the report, detectives swiftly moved to the scene, where the suspect was apprehended," SP Odutola explained.

During questioning, Yemisi denied the allegations. However, due to the severity of her husband's injury, police issued a medical form to Adebowale and advised him to seek immediate treatment.

The suspect remains in police custody while the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Abeokuta for further investigation.
The police noted that the case could involve uncontrolled anger, which led to the violent outburst.

Authorities emphasised that a thorough investigation would be conducted to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident, which they described as a severe case of domestic violence.
