Edo State Teachers Honored at 2024 Teachers for TECH Conference

BENIN CITY, June 10, 2024 — The 2024 Edo Teachers for TECH Conference was held on Monday 10th, June 2024 at the Sir Victor Uwaifo Creative Hub in Benin City. The event, part of the 2024 Education Week celebrations with the theme, Learning to Thrive: "Learning to Thrive: EdoBest and the Future of Education" was graced by the presence of the Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, who expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the teachers of Edo State for their dedication and contributions to the education sector.

 In his address, Governor Obaseki lauded the teachers for their embrace of technology and participation in various educational reforms over the past seven and a half years. "Special credit to our teachers," Obaseki said. "The next generation of citizens in Edo State will be well-prepared to take on the world, thanks to the excellent job our teachers are doing in shaping them for the future. Indeed, the future looks very bright for our people."

Highlighting the importance of continuity in the State’s educational advancements, Obaseki underscored the significance of the upcoming election on September 21, 2024. "The decision we make on the 21st of September, 2024, will determine the sustainability of these reforms in the education sector. We must vote and elect people who mean well for the State and know what to do when they are in charge of the government," he urged.

The conference served as a platform for educators to share insights and innovations in integrating technology into teaching. Workshops and panel discussions focused on leveraging digital tools to enhance learning outcomes, a testament to Edo State’s commitment to modernizing education.
