Edo 2024: Accord Party candidate vows to tackle poverty, insecurity

From Moshood Karim

As the Edo State governorship election approaches, Dr Bright Enabulele, the candidate for the Accord Party, has outlined his plans to tackle some of the most pressing issues in the state, including unemployment, insecurity, and poverty.

At a visit to the Benin City Airport, Enabulele was mobbed by dozens of supporters who had gathered to welcome him ahead of the campaign season.

Enabulele spoke passionately about his vision for Edo State, emphasizing his commitment to policies that would prioritize the well-being of all Edo citizens, not just a select few.

He emphasized that the state government was in desperate need of an overhaul, and that his candidacy represented a genuine opportunity to bring about positive change.

One of the key pillars of Enabulele's vision for Edo State is economic growth. He believes that the state has enormous potential for growth and development, but that this potential has been stifled by years of neglect and mismanagement.

He also outlined policies that would encourage investment in the state, create jobs, and support local businesses.

In addition to economic growth, Enabulele is also committed to improving access to education and healthcare. He believes that every citizen of Edo State should have access to quality education and healthcare, regardless of their background or economic status.

He promised to invest in schools, hospitals, and other essential infrastructure to ensure that these services are available to all.

He said: “The people of Edo State have yearned for a new direction for far too long,” the governorship candidate declared.

“A government that prioritizes the well-being of all Edo citizens, not just a select few, is what we desperately need.”
