Breaking: Ramadan Crescent Moon Spotted in Saudi Arabia

The crescent moon has been sighted in Saudi Arabia, signaling the start of the holy month of Ramadan.

This means that March 10 is the last day of the month of Sha'ban and the Holy Month will begin on Monday, March 11.

As per the Islamic lunar calendar, the beginning and end of Ramadan are determined by the sighting of the crescent moon.

Muslims in Saudi Arabia were urged to look out for the crescent and report their observations to the nearest court.

While some countries like Australia, Malaysia, Philippines, and Brunei have announced March 12 as the first day of Ramadan, Oman has decided to observe it on March 12, Tuesday, as there was no sighting of the crescent moon on Sunday evening.

Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar and is observed by Muslims worldwide.

During this month, Muslims fast from dawn to dusk, offer prayers, engage in charitable activities, and introspect to strengthen their faith.
