Insecurity: Kidnapped Catholic Bishop of Owerri Found Dead

 

This blog reports that the Catholic Bishop was kidnapped alongside his driver at the World Bank area of Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria.

It was confirmed that, the prelate is expected to take over from the diocesan archbishop, A.J.V Obinna, when he retires in 2021.

A source said the gunmen kidnapped the auxillary bishop and his driver in his car and whisked them away. Hours later, the vehicle of the kidnapped prelate was found in front of the archdiocesan headquarters in Owerri.
