How Adams Oshiomole's mother buries sister amidst tributes


It was an atmosphere of tributes on Saturday as the mother of the former Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomole observed the final burial ceremony of her elder sister, late Madam Mariam Emokhare at Ayua in Etsako West Local Government of Edo State.

Government officials, politicians, locals, business moguls are among the dignitaries that witnessed the grand ceremony.



Among the dignitaries that graced the occasion are the Minister of state for Budget and National Planning, Mr Clement Agba, All Progressive Congress Party Chieftains in the State and Ward councillors.

In her tribute, Oshiomole's mother described late Madam Mariam Emokhare as a very hardworking woman who cared for her siblings. She prayed to God Almighty for the repose of her gentle soul.

Addressing journalists at the end of the event, the former APC honcho, described the deceased as a devouted Catholic who lived a fulfilled life and will be remembered for her kindheartedness.



"She was my mother's eldest sister. I can say she lived a fulfilled life because anyone who lived in Nigeria up to fifty-years has already fulfilled and when you see someone who doubled that figure, you know that the person is fulfilled. We pray to God to grant her eternal rest." Oshiomole said.

The late Madam Mariam died at the age of 95-years after battling stroke at an undisclosed hospital.
