Gunmen kidnapped Edo Head of Service

There was palpable fear in the ancient city of Benin yesterday as suspected gunmen abducted the Head of Service of the State, Barrister, Anthony Okungbowa. 

The HoS, this blog gathered was said to have been kidnapped along Ozaa road leading to Ekpoma between Orhiomnwon and Igueben Local Government of Edo State.

He was said to have been abducted after attending a social event organised by the State Liasing Officer in Abuja.

Vanguard News reports that sources close to the family of the abducted Edo State Head of Service , Anthony Okungbowa, yesterday said there is no communication yet to any member of the family since he was kidnapped by gunmen on Saturday evening. 

He also disclosed that the whereabouts of he police orderly who is usually with the kidnapped top civil servant is still unknown.
