Tax And Tithe: If The Government Threatens Us With Prosecution, The Church Will Threaten Us With Financial Curses - Basket Mouth Laments

Popular Nigerian Comedian, Bright Okpocha popularly known as Basket mouth has reacted to a recent comment by the General overseer of Winners chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo where he said that anyone who doesn’t pay tithe is “under a financial curse”.

Reacting to this, Basketmouth via his Instagram handle argued that the Government threatens the people with prosecution if taxes are not paid now the church is threatening people with financial curses over tithe despite the current economic situation of the country.

He wrote:

“THIS LIFE NO BALANCE AT ALL!! The Govt will threaten us with prosecution if we don’t pay our TAX & VAT. The CHURCH will now threaten us with a FINANCIAL CURSE if you don’t pay your TITHE!
