Making use of your tithe (money) to buy alcohol is not a sin- Reno Omokri reveals

Former media aide to Ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri has said that using one's tithe to buy alcohol is not a sin.

Reno stated this via a tweet on Saturday. According to him, those who did are not committing sin against God adding it is purely scriptural.

Quoting various Bible verses, he said that even in heaven, they also drink wine, therefore it is scriptural to do.

“Drinking alcohol is no sin. Drunkenness is sin. It is unscriptural to preach against alcohol. Even in heaven they drink wine (Matthew 26:29). Paul encouraged wine drinking (1 Tim 5:23).

Scripture allows you use your tithe to buy alcohol (Deu 14:26)”, he wrote.

Bishop David Oyedepo of the Living Faith Church, A.K.A Winners Chapel had earlier this week preached from the Bible that those who spend there tithe and refused to bring it to the church are cursed financially and can never prosper. What is your take on this article.
