500 APC members defect to PDP in Edo state

Over 500 members of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC have defected to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Edo state.

In Ikpoba-Okha LGA, Several indigenes defiled the rain and trooped out in a unity rally, as the Chairman, Councillor, SA and more than 500 members of the APC in Ward 08 formally declared their defection to the PDP.

It will be recalled that state governor, Godwin Obaseki may be facing the toughest elections of his political career against his rival, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu of the APC. 

Obaseki, who was formerly in the APC had to defect to the PDP a month ago after he was disqualified from the Party’s primaries.
