Facebook: Nigerian woman advertised for sale in Lebanon refused to come home

Nigeria in Diaspora Commission says the Nigerian woman who was advertised for sale on Facebook in Lebanon has refused to return home.
The head of the commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa confirmed this development on Friday in a telephone interview with our correspondent Abayomi Akinbola.

Dabiri-Erewa said the woman who was being sold for $1,000, was rescued by the Lebanese authorities and taken to the Nigerian embassy in Beirut.
The NIDCOM boss said she tried to convince the 30-year-old woman who says she has found another job in Lebanon to return home but she refused.
Speaking further, she said the commission is working with the ministry of Labour at ensuring that they come out with a manage migration package as according to her, the Lebanese Embassy has stopped issuance of work visas.
