EDO 2020: APC Appoints Hope Uzodimma To Head Edo Screening Committee

The Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma has just been appointed to head the Edo State screening committee for the forthcoming party governorship primaries.

This news is coming at the heels of an alleged snub yesterday by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Embattled Godwin Obaseki with his tail between his legs ran to Lagos to seek the face of Tinubu in his lingering crisis with the National Chairman of APC, Adams Oshiomhole.

Obaseki was tutored on party supremacy and told to go and prepare for the party primaries coming up. According to sources Tinubu practically scolded Obaseki like a schoolboy.

As if the insult was not enough Lagos State Commissioner and former Lagos APC spokesman, Joe Igbokwe took to his Facebook page to scorn at Obaseki.

"Just confirmed that Governor Obaseki was in the fortress, bourdillon sweating and practically begging and pleading with Asiwaju to intervene on his behalf. Ok oo But they said Edo is not Lagos."

The humiliation was grand and epic.

Now as if to cremate Obaseki the NWC has made Adams Oshiomhole’s main ally and the Executive Governor of Imo State Hope Uzodimma to Head APC screening committee in Edo State for the forthcoming direct primaries.

This seems to be the final end of the road for Obaseki as the Imo State Governor is a strong ally to Adams Oshiomhole who he sees as instrumental in his emergence as Governor.
