COVID-19 Pandemic: Edo Chief Imam calls for prayers, Unity

The Chief Imam of Etsako Central local government area of Edo State,Sheikh Ibrahim Ikpekhai,has called on Muslim faithfuls in the local government to pray against the spread of CoronaVirus disease.

In his Ramadan Message to the Adherents of Islamic Religion in the area,Sheik Ikpekhai said God is interested in the fasting of the Muslim faithful.

The Chief Imam, asserted that Ramadan is one of the pillars  of the Islamic Religion, adding,that there should be sober reflection by the Muslims in order to receive the blessings of Almighty Allah.

While congratulating those observing the Ramadan, the Chief Imam called on Adherents of Islamic Religion to pray for those in positions of authority to rule with the wisdom and fear of God.

Sheikh Ikpekhai, said many fasted without receiving the reward because they fastest astray., stressing, that Muslims should lead by example as instructed by Almighty Allah in the Holy Quran.

The Cleric, said it was imperative for every man to return back to God for the forgiveness of his sins in order to experience sustainable growth and development.He added that a good leader must be a good listener and must be ready to make sacrifices to be able to lead well.

The Muslim Scholar appealed to the people to obey government rules and regulations on COVID 19 Pandemic to prevent the spread of the Virus.
