Auchi Poly releases first semester results

The Federal Polytechnic, Auchi on Tuesday announced the release of  First semester results of regular students for the 2019/2020 academic session. The results have been published online via Auchi Poly portal as at the time of filing in this report. 

According to a source in the Polytechnic, the results are coming out gradually as some departments results are available online already.

All regular students should note that, since the ease of the lockdown by federal government and the directive not to open gathering places but to function in some capacity, some top level staff have resumed work in Auchi Poly.

The top level staff are said to only open offices on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays as directed by the federal government till further notice.

Going forward, the Institution announced in a circular letter to all its staff and students, that online classes for students have commenced.

"...hereby notifies all regular students that online classes for the 2019/2020 academic session has commenced."

The Circular also provided guidelines for both staff and students on the implementation of  the online courses.

The Circular reads:

"To all Academic staff that have gone through their Online training towards creating their courses online..

Pls note the following

1. Get the course(s) you are to teach for the 2nd semester...

2. Use your existing gmail account or create one if you don't have to create your online course using google classroom.

"If you forget any step, use your institutional email account to go back into the online training class to refresh yourself on the steps...

3. Get in contact with the classrep for the class you are teaching and send the code for the online classroom u have created to the classrep. A Whatsap group can be created by the classrep and he/she will add you for further instructions to be passed to the class and some discussions...

4. Get your course curriculum and upload the materials/videos you have for them on weekly bases.

You can create your Assignment, Quiz, etc for each topic or as you so choose to create your course...

"To the students, the Circular stated, 

For students joining a class:

Students with Android Phone can download Google Classroom App from Play

Store. After Installation, open the Google Classroom App in your phone and

Login with your Gmail Account’s Username and Password.

To Join a Class, follow Step 3 to Step 5 above

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Students should contact their various course lecturers through their ClassReps for Class Code(s) to enable them Join Class(es).

Students can use their existing Gmail Account otherwise, Create a Gmail

Account to Join a Class.

"All students should please take note that face-to-face teaching and learning will continue when the federal government permits resumption."
