Publisher Applauds Lagos Local Councils Bosses On COVID-19 Palliatives



The publisher of Community Alert Magazine, Mr. Seyi Bamigbade has commended the efforts of the council bosses at providing palliatives for their residents.

Bamigbade made the commendation when the tabloid showcasing the affairs of Lagos State Government Local Governments in the state commenced the distribution of food materials in the state.

He said the relief packages were donated by the publication crews and political group Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu National Forum to provide succour for the needy and vulnerable people as a result of coronavirus pandemic.

Bamigbade said the initiative is also to support the efforts of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in providing assistance to the poor and needy in the various communities in view of the corona virus pandemic.

 “Government alone cannot provide for everyone without support from individuals and groups”, he said

According to him, the Community Alert Magazine Covid-19 Relief Fund Project was initiated by Community Alert Magazine and the political group, adding that the packaged food items included rice, beans, garri, vegetable oil, and loaves of bread.

He said all the food items were sourced locally from indigenous traders to boost local economy.

Seyi expressed his appreciation to all Local Governments / Local Council development Areas of Lagos State chairmen for their efforts in contributing their quota to make life easier for those at the grassroots with the distribution of the relief packages to Lagosians.

He also called on religious leaders, CDAs and all stakeholders to emulate the gesture.
