COVID-19: Omega Fire Ministry Pastor arrested in Edo for disobeying government order

In limiting the spread of the deadly Coronavirus disease, The Chairman, Etsako Central Local Government Council of Edo State, Comrade John Osi Akhigbe had earlier ban Churches, Mosque, Bars, and ceremonial gatherings as a preventive measure towards curbing Coronavirus in the LGA.

In an enforcement patrol yesterday, he found out that a pastor of the Omega Fire Ministries, Fugar City, Etsako Central Local Government Area, Edo State was disobeying Government orders and consequently ordered his arrest.  According to him, it seems that most of the pastors were not complying with the protective measures of the Government.  The enforcement team also visited various bars and hotels which have been shut down till further notice.

Chairman Akhigbe appealed to the good people of Etsako Central to cooperate and obey the directives of the Government to avoid sheepish or embarrassment. He said that he understands the range of emotion everyone may be going through and that he is always committed to flatten the curve of the challenges.

Prevention is the best measure we have to avoid the spread of the deadly disease and whoever behaves in ways that undermines the government efforts of curbing the spread of the disease will be punished accordingly, he said.

He charged the patrol team not to relent as he will not tolerate any form of disobedience or ignorance.
