CoS Resignation: Obaseki Sacks All Political Appointees
The embattled Governor of Edo State, Mr. Godwin Obaseki has relieved all personal staff and political appointees attached to his office with immediate effect, pending further actions.
Personal Staff: Special Advisers, Special Assistants and Senior Special Assistants attached to the office of the Governor, Chief of Staff, Secretary to State Government; Commissioners and Head of Agencies are affected by this development.
“The action is necessary to weed out loyalists of former Chief of Staff, Taiwo Akerele who resigned last Friday to the surprise of the Governor and all his loyalists.
“It is also to deter other top aides who may have concluded plans to resign.”
