Commissioner to empower 272, 847 children

The Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Inclusion, Alhaja Faosat Sanni who represented the Governor at the policy dialogue workshop held at Emeritus Professor Theophilus Ogunlesi Hall disclosed that about 272,847 children would be beneficiaries to this program.

The program which would be implemented in 17 states to support the Federal Governments Universal Basic Education (UBE) projects has Oyo state as the only beneficiary in the Southwest region because of the high rate of out-of-school children.

The Hon. Commissioner commended the Governor on the free education policy embarked upon by his administration which has reduced the number of out of school children.
