KDSG concludes screening of 5351 applicants, interviews to follow

The Kaduna State Government has concluded the screening of the 5351 applicants who passed the CBT stage of the ongoing recruitment process.

The screening results are being compiled, following which the successful candidates will be invited for interviews by the government ministries, departments or agencies in which they have indicated interest.

The screening exercise is the first instance of face-to-face interactions between applicants and KDSG officials who conducted checks to match the virtual and actual personalities of the candidates. KDSG officials asked candidates questions about their essays and the CBT and also checked certificates.

In furtherance of its public service reform and revitalisation programme, the Kaduna State Government seeks to strengthen its workforce with younger, more IT-compliant personnel. Therefore, KDSG launched an online recruitment process on 1 August 2019. Interested graduates were invited to visit the online job portal, create profiles and provide the required documentation online, including an essay.

By 26 August 2019 when the job portal closed, 41,971 applications had been submitted. After assessing the essays submitted by the applicants for plagiarism and Use of English, 13,700 persons were selected for the second stage and were invited for computer-based tests. Applicants did not have to leave their locations to take the CBT. At the conclusion of the CBT stage, 5351 persons were deemed to have met the threshold and were invited for screening. Email notifications will be sent to candidates when the screening results are ready.
