24-Yr-Old Cross-border Bandit Nabbed In Katsina, As Police Recover Snatched Vehicle



Operatives of the Katsina State Police Command have arrested a notorious cross-border armed robber who specialized in the snatching of exotic cars.

The 24-year-old Mohammed Sani, according to the state police spokesman, Gambo Isah, SP, was arrested on Sunday, November 3, 2019, at Dabai Village, Danja LGA of Katsina state, at about 10:26am.

Gambo, in a press release, said the suspect, a resident of Dei-Dei area of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, was accosted while transiting through the Nigeria-Niger border in a Silver colour Toyota Camry (2008 Model), marked KWC -32 AH (Delta).

The PPRO stated that Sani's arrest was based on a tip-off, adding that investigation carried out by the Command has revealed that car belongs to one Amao Livingstone (m) of Dove Resort, Mabushi, FCT, Abuja and that the car was snatched at gun point on November 2, 2019, at about 23:00hrs, at Mabushi area, Abuja.

His words: "The Katsina State Police Command under the leadership of CP Sanusi Buba, psc, has yet recorded another feat in the fight against crime and criminality in the state. 

"On 3/11/2019, at about 10:26hrs, based on a tip off, the Command succeeded in arresting One Mohammed Sani, m, aged 24yrs, of Dei-Dei, FCT Abuja in possession of a stolen motor vehicle Toyota Camry, 2008 Model, Sylver in colour, registration No. KWC -32 AH, Delta state at Dabai Village, Danja LGA of Katsina state.

"The said vehicle belongs to one Amao Livingstone, m, of Dove Resort, Mabushi, FCT Abuja and was snatched at gun point on 02/11/2019 at about 23:00hrs, at Mabushi area, Abuja.
