How prosperity preachers scam Nigerians- Former Pastor
By Al Akhigbe
Yahoo folks use cooked up stories, initiate fake transactions, pose to be who and what they're not, to steal monies from unsuspecting public; corrupt politicians award bogus contracts, inflate costs and put up fronts to steal the commonwealth of the people for themselves; bandits take up arms, pose as security personnel to kidnap and rob people.
They're all criminals!
But there are those who pose as God's agents, tell fallacious tales to fleece the unsuspecting public. They're scammers but not criminals. They're the prosperity preaching pastors.
Oh, you thought it's only Yahoo folks that are scammers? You think it's only politicians that are corrupt? Poor you, open your eyes.
What do you think it is when someone poses as an agent of God and asks you to bring your money to the alter, only for the monies to make their way to a bank account run and owned by the agent?
It's the neatest scam in sub-saharan Africa. It's free from FBI, EFCC, DSS and Interpol investigation. No obligation is required of them despite having billions of the victim's money in their possession.
Why the hell do you think everyone wants to be a pastor? For salvation of souls? You must be kidding! Are their souls saved? I feel sorry for you.
I give you an example: all the mega churches in Nigeria have sub-headquarters in South Africa with hundreds of Nigerians there. Did you hear any of them offering help to the victims of xenophobia? Is it not a businessman, Allen Onyema, that offered to airlift Nigerians for free?
If you think your salvation depends on your pastors, I commiserate with you today. The day you become broke due to their incessant demands, you'll be discarded like a thirstily sucked orange and trashed.
