43-year-old man allegedly defiles 6-year-old girl

A 43-year-old man, Oluwole  Bamidele, has been arrested and is currently been detained at Agbado Police Station in Ogun State for having canal knowledge of a six-year-old girl.

Bamidele, it was gathered took advantage of the little girl's parents' absence at home last week Wednesday, September 13, 2019, to perpetrate the wicked act.

But beyond his expectation, the innocent and hapless girl poured out her mind to her mother on arrival, narrating how the suspect sexually abused her, a scenario that was promptly reported to the police, leading to Bamidele's arrest.

In a  Press release, the state Police Spokespersons, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, said: "His arrest followed a report by one Ikechukwu Blessing Orji, who reported at Agbado Police Station that, while his wife went out to her tailor at about 12:45pm on the said day, the suspect, a covenant, lured his 6-year-old daughter into his room and had unlawful carnal knowledge of her".

 "On the strength of the report, the DPO, CSP Aloko Amodu, detailed his detectives to the scene of the crime at Kayode Street, Agoro area of Agbado, where the suspect was arrested", Oyeyemi stated, adding that Bamidele denied the allegation but a medical examination conducted on victim at the General Hospital revealed that she had been defiled.

According to the PPRO, the state Commissioner of Police, CP Bashir Makama, had ordered the immediate transfer of the suspect to the Anti-Human Trafficking and Child Labour Unit of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) for proper investigation and prosecution.
