TASUEDSU students block SARS from arresting colleagues, set vehicle ablaze

Students of the Tai Solarin Universty of Education, Ijebu-Ode yesterday prevented men of the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) who pursued some sets of individuals suspected to be students of the university from arrest.

This blog learnt that trouble started when the SARS men attempted to arrest one of the students by shooting sporadically into the air.

Miffed by this act, the students vandalised and burnt the operation vehicle which the security men came in with.

The University Vice Chancellor, Prof. Abayomi A.A condemned the act of unprofessionalism displayed by the security operatives in an academic environment. He also urged the students to be peaceful as the University will never tolerate any act of indiscipline.

Sen. Olamide Adeboun, the TASUEDSU president appreciates the students for their resilience, diehard spirit of love and doggedness exhibited today.

He said the students union shall continue to stand by TASUEDITES against oppression and any form of aggression.
