SOS to governor Wike over deplorable state of Emelego-Odual school

A Facebook user Sotonye Ezekiel has sent SOS over the deplorable state of infrastrature at only school in his community, Emelego-Odual in Abua-Odual LGA of Rivers State:
The sad and pathetic story of the Odual people goes on and on in all facets of human existence.
Education is not left out in this scenario. The pictures below is the ones prestigious and only government owned secondary school in Odual situated at Emelego, Odual, Abua/Odual LGA of Rivers state, Nigeria in this state of disrepair and dilapidation. It'll interest you to know that the school was founded in 1977 by the Military Administration of Zamani Lekwot.

Before the establishment of the school, Odual people had to navigate the Saka River through the Sombriro River to attend secondary school in far away Kalabari National College (KNC), Nyemoni Grammar School (NGS) in Rivers State or seek alternative at Matadei High School, Imiringi in Bayelsa State.
It is worthy of note that in the early 70s and 80s when government was not closer to the people, Odual had and enjoyed all the basic amenities ranging from a well equipped and functional hospital, customary court, a police station, over head water distribution scheme, a functional district office, effective water transport scheme, electricity etc.

The only major and common challenge we had then was lack of road network. But today, even when the government is presumably close to the people, all these amenities have gradually rot away and erode the people.
I had thought that the renovation and remodelling of secondary schools to boarding schools in Rivers State will caught the attention of the government to the school but to my utter most chagrin, GSS Emelego, Odual was left out.
Its therefore, my considered opinion to make this clarion call on governments at all level to make frantic efforts to renovate the school especially now that schools are on holidays.

A school that has produced all the categories of man power in the society, be it Lawyers, Doctors, Engineers, Administrators, Accounts etc who have attain appreciable successes in the society should not be allowed to continue to remain in this pitiable and derelict state of abandonment.
