Senate confirms Zainab Ahmed as minister

The Nigerian Senate on Tuesday approved the Nomination of Zainab Shamsuna Ahmed as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The Senate President after screening of the Ministerial Nominee last Thursday put the motion for the approval of the Nomination of Zainab Shamsuna Ahmed as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 2019.

The Senate responded in the affirmative after the question “Will the Senate Approve the Nomination of Zainab Ahmed as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria” by the Senate President.

The Minister was the immediate past Minister of Finance and prior to that; she was the Minister of State Budget & National Planning before taking over from Kemi Adeosun at Finance after her resignation in 2018.
