Police kills 3 armed robbers in PortHarcourt

Police authority in Rivers State has put an end to the nefarious activities of three members of an armed robbery syndicate, whose area of focus were banks in PortHarcourt

The deceased suspects, alongside other members of the gang who escaped with  varying degrees of gun-shot injuries, were so sure of themselves, relying so much on their arsenal of weapons in their kitty, with which they thought was enough to crush any adversary in form of police confrontation.

With this conceptualized belief, the bandits set out for the risky venture on the fateful day, and had targeted a new generation bank in the Government Reserved Area (GRA), taking it for business as usual.

They were, however, proved wrong by the ACP Evans Shem-led Swift Operation Squard (SOS), which acted on a tip-off and engaged them in a fierce battle at about 9:30am, forcing three of them to bow to the Squard's superior fire power, at the end of which, they paid the supreme price of their accumulated ills to the society.

At the end of the operation, two AK 47 rifles with 8 magazines, 186 rounds of ammunition, two Toyota cars, comprising a metallic colour Corolla and an ox- blood  Camry were recovered.
