Governor Badaru congratulates Jigawa LG honchos

The Governor of Jigawa State Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar has congratulated the newly elected chairmen of the 27 local government areas in the state, when they paid him a formal visit in his office at the Jigawa State Government House, Dutse.

The  election, conducted fortnight ago, saw the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) winning in all the local government areas.

Governor Badaru while congratulating the chairmen, also urged them to be committed in discharging their responsibilities.

He also urged them to maintain the tempo exhibited by most of them in their first tenure in execution of projects, especially at this time when the Financial Autonomy of the Local Government Councils is granted.

Governor Badaru also charged them  you to make efforts to improve on internally generated revenue by plugging all loopholes, as well as identifying new revenue sources.

He said as agents at the grassroots, the Chairmen were expected to evolve constructive ideas for the development and transformation of our Local Government Areas.

Responding on behalf of his colleagues, Executive Chairman of Gumel Local Government Council, who doubled as the State Chairman, Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON) Alhaji Aminu Sani Gumel,  thanked people of the state for electing them and assured that they would not betray the confidence reposed in them.

Alhaji Aminu Sani also lauded the state government for conducting peaceful and credible council elections in the state.
