Edo NPower Volunteers Organises Sensitization Programme on Drug Abuse
Volunteers of the National Social Investment Programme NSIP, christened NPower have taken their campaign against the misuse of Codeine to Edo North Senatorial district.
Speaking at the event held at the Saint Angela's Secondary School, Jattu, the Principal, Mrs Okhumhale Queensly, who was represented by the Vice Principal, Mr. Imuekemhe Dirisu described the act of abusing drug as a social malaise that has not only destroyed the users but has also destroyed family unit and the society at large. He urged the students to use the knowledge ganered at the workshop to better their lives and extend it to others.
The NPower Desk Officer, Etsako West Local Government, Mr. Bakare Nosakhare on his part, thanked the NPower Volunteers for organisng the event. He added that the students should desist from illicit drug use as this action could endanger their lives.
