NYSC: Orientation/Induction Programme
The orientation Programme provides the first venue for effecting the desired change of attitude, as participants receive training in preparation for their next assignment of selfless and patriotic service to the nation.
On arriving the camp, the prospective Corps member is expected to immediately commence the process of registration into the service year which normally start 7:00am on the first day the camp opens and ends 12 mid-next preceding the swearing-inday.
The orientation training covers a period of 3 weeks (21) days. Though subject to change. Verification of documents and credentials by NYSC officials immediately followed. This done with a view to authenticating and validating every corps member's participation.
After registration, each Corps member is given a complete kit and a number tag for identification purpose. It is expected that, Corp members bring along with them their own plates, cutlery, pillow cases, bed sheets, mosquito net, blankets, water bottles and torchlight.
