Business News: Patronise Made-in-Nigeria-Goods, Glo Advises Nigerians

Nigeria's telecommunication giant, Globacom Ng has appealed to Nigerians to patronise made-in-Nigeria goods so as to encourage entrepreneurship in the country. The company, which recently participated at the international trade fair organised by the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in the Federal Capital Territory, said such patronage would help to grow the nation’s GDP.
Globacom’s National Sales Coordinator, North Central, Mr Kazeem Kaka, who spoke on behalf of the company at the Fair, noted that the call by the Federal Government for corporate organisations and individuals in the country to patronise Made-in–Nigeria goods and services had become pertinent because of the downturn in the country’s economy. According to Kaka, patronising made in Nigeria goods and exporting same would not only stimulate the passion for entrepreneurship among the youth, but would also increase revenue earnings for the government and stem the escalating value of the dollar in comparison to the Naira. He noted that Globacom is a proudly-Nigerian company which is owned absolutely by a Nigerian multimillionaire investor and is committed to the economic development of Nigerians, “especially the youth who should use their productive years to yield benefits to themselves, their Fatherland and families”. The company had an exhibition stand During the trade fair, Globacom set up an exhibition stand where it displayed its products. The opportunity was also employed to respond to product inquiries as well as customer complaints.
