Lagos Promotes 8,617 Teachers

The Lagos State government has promoted 8,617 public primary school teachers in furtherance of its objective to motive its work force, especially those in the education sector to impact sound knowledge on their pupils. The Executive Chairman of the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board, Dr Ganiyu Oluremi Sopeyin, who disclosed this yesterday to journalists in Lagos said the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode has approved the promotion. He explained that the promotion exercise has cleared the back logs inherited by the present administration in the state primary schools.
