197 IDPs Registered for NECO, GCE, NABTEB

The Uhougua Internally Displaced Persons’ Camp in Benin, Edo State, says more than 197 IDPs have been registered to write this year’s NECO, GCE and NABTEB examinations. The Coordinator of the camp, Mr Solomon Folorunsho, made this known to the News Agency of Nigeria on Monday in Benin. He said that 74 IDPs enrolled for WACE, NABTEB and JAMB in 2015, adding that half of the enrolled IDPs scored above 200 in JAMB. Folorunsho said that there were more than 2,000 IDPs in the camp. FHe said, “Right now nearly 200 IDPs are writing NECO, GCE and NABTEB and we are grateful to NECO and NABTEB for making Uhogua camp a centre. “And WAEC has also come and we are expecting that they will follow suit and make this camp a centre. “We want to enrol them for every exam. We have teachers both full time and volunteers that are teaching, and we also have laboratories for subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Agric and Biology. "So they really have everything that they need. Also few men that are here and the widows are all going to pioneer school, they also want to learn how to read and write.”
